    The very best way to manage stress is to practice Hamsa breathing exercise every now and then everyday .

    From time immemorial, Hindu Rishis knew that Breathing and thoughts are very closely connected.

    Whenever we get angry;
    Whenever we become emotional;
    Whenever we become sad;
    We have to WATCH our breathing pattern.
    It will be erratic and short and rapid.

    When we immerse ourselves in spirituality;
    We will see that breaths we are taking are DEEP AND LONG.
    When we take deep breaths,
    we are less angry and less emotional and more peaceful.

    How can we manage stress and anxiety?

    Answer : Practice HAMSA, which is AJAPA meaning "unpronounced," thus this is a silent mantra. Whether we are aware or not, we chant HAMSA all the time. .

    "Ha" is the sound of the breath on our exhalations and
    "sa" is the sound of the inhalations.

    Some reverse HAMSA mantra and call it "So'ham" -

    we hear "hmmm" on the inhalation and a sighing "sa" on the exhalation.

    “Ham" means “I AM ” and refers to the IMMORTAL SOUL WITHIN.

    When you breathe in with the sound ham, you bring the life force from outside into your inner world.

    You affirm your ‘I am-ness’.

    Sa means ‘That’ and refers to the outer world.

    HAMSA is the best method to distract negative thoughts……

    When you experience anxiety or anger or stress or when u are in a very confrontational situation, Hamsa will come to your help.

    Please practice few minutes at a time initiallly.. Otherwise you may get bored…..just morning and evening 5 mniutes each .

    slowly U can increase from 5 minutes to 10 minutes
    and day will come when HAMSA will become part and parcel of your life.
    Later HAMSA will take over you every now and then.

    Watching the breath is the very best exercise to reduce stress as well as helping us to prevent having emotional outbursts like anger, jealousy, hatred etc
