No. Hinduism as such does not allowed sperm donation. It is still considered a Taboo in country like India. Only artificial insemination is allowed if the sperm donor is the husband. Having more information on this issue? Please share it on this thread!
Well being Indian and Hindu I would not support sperm donation, rather I would support child adoption.
It depends on your religious belief like 1) islam dosen't allow sperm donation because a man allow to have children with hi wife but in case when natural methods fail islam does allow artificial insemination and the donar is the woman's husband. 2)Christianity doesn't allow sperm donation & artificial insemination, but some interpretations allow it. 3)Judaism permit sperm donation & artificial insemination in some situation when only natural methods fail. 4)Buddhism allow sperm donation & artificial insemination but when only natural methods fails. Buddhism doesn't condone compensation for sperm donors. 5)Hinduism allow artificial insemination when the husband is donor. But sperm donation is not allowed. 6)Sikhism permits artificial insemination between husband & wife. but sperm donation not allowed. Now my conclusion : In modern society where life is fast paced, I think it should be allowed, provided the sperm donar is not known and above all it should not be attached to any religion. Since we are donot follow religion, we follow sanatana dharma and we should be able to adapt to such new things.
