Manglik Dosha is is also called the Mangal Dosha or Kunj Dosha. Manglik Doshais an astrological combination that occurs if Mars is in the 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th, or 12th house of the Vedic astrology Ascendant chart. As per ancient hindu belief, the people who have not treated their life partners properly in previous life, they gets the curse of Lord Hanuman and are affected with Mangal Dosha in this life. Mars is a natural significator of Courage, Aggression, Violence, Property, Coborns to name a few. Mangalik Dosha is considered from the Moon as it signifies heart, emotions. Mangalik Dosha is considered from the Ascendant as it signifies everything about self. Mangalik Dosha is considered from Venus as it signifies marriage, spouse, and bed pleasures. A person born in the presence of this condition is termed a manglik. Because there are only twelve houses in horoscope and it's presence in five houses(1,4,7,8 and 12th) makes one Manglik. Some believe that one Manglik should only marry another Manglik, the idea being that two negatives cancel each other out, creating a positive. Mars placement in 1st, 2nd, 4th and 12th house indicates mild Dosha. Mars placement in 7th or 8th house results in greater Dosha. It is believed that Mangalik dosha is mild if it is from the Ascendant. This affliction is stronger from the Moon and strongest from Venus. Although there are "Poojas" that can be performed to allow Manglik and Non-Manglik to marry each other. There are also some astrological remedies (Upayas) which can be used to resolve this Dosha. A manglik person should read Hanuman Chalisa and should prey to Lord Hanuman. He or she should also feed sweet bread to brown coloured cows to reduce the ill effect of Mars if any present in his or her chart.
