Dosha created as a result of the bad deeds by our ancestors is called paitrik-dosh or Pitra Dosha. According to puran, Pitru Dosh occurs when the soul of our ancestors and departed forefathers does not get peace ( shanti ) due to any of the following main reason, and there may be others. There are many way by which pitra dosh can occur. Some ways to identify Pitra Dosha : (a) Disruption in career and educational growth and success. (b) Repeated miscarriages (c) Children are falling sick repeatedly (d) The person's career and educational growth is obstructed. (e) The couple has problem in conceiving the child. Some reasons for Pitra Dosha : (a) Bad karma of children, unknowingly and knowingly are emcarrassing thier souls of ancestors. (b) Bad karma of our ancestors in earlier life, unknowingly and knowingly are embarrassing their souls. (c) Unnatural death and sudden death of any relative ancestors in early age. (d) Lack of ffulfillmentof parental desires of our ancestors. Pitru Dosha occurs if any ancestors up to forth generation on the mother side and seventh generation on the father side have expired at an early age or have had an unnatural death.
