Shrii A'nandamu'rti left a great legacy for the present and future generations. Many great preceptors came before Shrii A'nandamu'rti but most of them left only a spiritual legacy, however, His contributions were not only in the spiritual field but also in education, ecology, economics, ethics, philosophy, science, philology, linguistics, art & music, history, and much more. In the field of spirituality Shrii A'nandamu'rti brought the science of Tantra and Yoga taught in a new light with a very scientific and rational approach. These spiritual practices, along with a vast and deep spiritual philosophy, provide endless inspiration and a driving energy to His disciples and the society at large. Those who follow His teachings found their lives transformed as they overcame their weaknesses and negative tendencies of the mind and experienced a deep peace and bliss within. Shrii A'nandamu'rti, also known as Prabhat Rainjan Sarkar, created a global organization, Ananda Marga, with dedicated men and women with missionary zeal. Ananda Marga has become a multi faceted organization with different branches dedicated to the upliftment of humanity though education, relief, welfare, the arts, ecology, intellectual renaissance, women's emancipation, and humanistic economy. In the field of ecology and environmental awareness, Shrii A'nandamu'rti propounded the philosophy of NEO-HUMANISM, extending the spirit of humanism to include love for animals, plants and the inanimate world. He started a global plant exchange programme to save and propagate thousands of plant species around the world. In conjunction with this he also started sanctuaries for animals in the various locations around the world. In the realm of philology and linguistics, Shrii A'nandamu'rti wrote volumes of the Bengali and Sanskrit languages which still require years of deep scholarly study to be understood. Those volumes trace the evolution of words, phrases and cultural traditions that comprise today's tapestry of Indian languages, as well as new and important insights to Indo-European and other languages of the world. In the field of science, in 1986, Shrii A'nandamu'rti introduced the theory of Microvita which has subsequently interested scientists around the world. In a series of discourses, He has struck at the heart of conventional physics and biology, as he points out that the basic building blocks of life are microvita -- emanations of minute life form composed of mind and consciousness. The microvita theory provides a link between the worlds of perception and conception, and implies that the distinct disciplines of physics, biology and mathematics in the future will merge into one science in order to understand the real nature of the universe. In the field of psychology, mental as well as psycho-spiritual science, Shrii A'nandamu'rtijii wrote one of the most complete volumes on Yoga Bio-Psychology which will be another subject of research for decades to come. In the field of natural medicine Shrii A'nandamu'rtijii gave to humanity one of the most outstanding treatises in His "Yaogika Cikitsa" or commonly known as "Yogic Treatments and Natural Remedies". In this book our Spiritual Master outlines very effective treatments to the most frequent and common deceases of the modern times such as cures for: diabetes, blood pressure deceases, obesity, heart decease, ulcers, cancer, asthma, STDs, etc. etc. In the field of music, literature and art, Shrii A'nandamu'rti urged artist to do art for "service and blessedness" and not merely 'Art for Art's sake'. He also wrote guidelines to accomplish these goals. He not only wrote long philosophic treatises, he has also enriched us with children's stories, fiction, comedy and drama. His most dramatic contribution to music and poetry is His own 5018 compositions known as Prabhat Sangiit (Songs of the New Dawn) which he wrote since 1982 until 1990. These beautiful songs express the universality of the human heart. Most of the songs were written in Bengali and other 7 languages including English. Bengali scholars have given the highest praise to these songs, in terms of their poetic and symbolic expression. For the collective welfare of the entire society He propounded the theory of PROUT (Progressive Utilization Theory), which stands for the maximum utilization and rational distribution of all the resources and potentialities of the world -- physical, mental and spiritual -- and the creation of a new, humanistic social order of harmony and justice for all. Shrii A'nandamu'rtijii left an invaluable legacy of more that 200 volumes which He wrote in a period of around 50 years on subjects that were mentioned above.
