Trimbakeshwar - one of the heavenly places of Maharashtra as well as the entire India is close Nashik. Trimbakeshwar is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas in India. The accompanying verse should clarify the significance of this consecrated spot and the following one gives names of the Twelve Jyotirlingas in India.

This says anyone who visits Tryambakeshwar accomplishes salvation. There is no holy place like Tryambakeshwar, no stream like Godavari, no mountain like Brahmagiri and so forth. The purposes behind its being so hallowed are - Godavari waterway begins in this spot, its a position of Tri-Sandhya Gayatri, the origination of Lord Ganesha, a position of the first Nath of Nath Sampradaya comprising of Gorakhnath and others, a spot where Nivrittinath was made to assimilate the sacred information by his Guru Gahininath, a spot where Nivrittinath made his siblings and sister accomplish the self by his proclaiming. This is the holiest spot to perform Shraddha service. Nirnaya Sindhu - a religious book of Hindus, specifies this spot, where Sahyadri mountain and Godavari stream exist is exceptionally cleaning in general earth and is hence vital for performing Shraddha function.
