    Vedic Astrology is an ancient Indian science which explains position and planetary motions with respect to time and their effect on humans and other entities on earth. According to this astrology there are 27 constellations made up of 9 planents, 12 zodiac abd 12 houses with each planets and houses representing many aspect to human life. Depending on when a baby is born, the 12 signs are distributed among the p planents and 12 houses aare place in various houses.

    Vedic astrology is nothing but interpreting the meaning of these arrangements as it applies to humans and other entities. There are three types of vedic astrology.

    (a) Samhita (Mundane astrology)
    (b) Siddhanta (Astronomy)
    (c) Hora (Predictive astrology)

    (a) Mundane Astrology (Samhita) - Samhitas deal with mundane astrology wars, animals, financial positions, construction and houses related matter, meterology, vaastu shaastra, electional astrology, omens and portents etc.

    (b) Siddhanta (Astronomy) - Astronomy and its application to astrology.

    (c) Hora (Predictive astrology) - There are various types of Hora.

    (1) Streejaatak (female astrology) - This astrology is only for females.
    (2) Jaatak Shaastra / Hora Shaastra (Natal Astrology / horoscopy) - Prediction based on individual horoscope.
    (3) Prashna (Horary astrology) - Predictions based on time when a question is asked by querent / querist.
    (4) Tajik Shaastra / Varsha Phal (Annual Horoscopy) - This astrology based on annual solar returns.
    (5) Muhurt or Muhurtha (Electional astrology) - Selection of beneficial time to initiate an activity to get maximum fruition from the life activities.
    (6) Nastjaatakam (Lost Horoscopy) - Art of tracing or construction of lost horoscopes.
    (7) Ankjyotisha / Kabala (Numerology) - This astrology is depends on number.
    (8) Swar Shaastra (Phonetical astrology) - This astrology is depend on name and sounds.
    (9) Tajik Shaastra / Varsha Phal (Annual Horoscopy) - This astrology depends on annual solar returns.
    (10) Jaimini Sutras - A non-conventional method of timing of events based on Famous Indian astrologer, Acharya Jaimini.
    (11) Nadi Astrology - An ancient treatise having detailed predictions for individuals.
