Polygamy is strictly a "NO" in Hinduism as the Hindu scriptures consider the bond of marriage as an unbreakable and undissolvable bond. Though Polygamy was practiced by few in earlier times and earlier Hindu society, it is completely banned now and Hindus have to stick on "Monogamy" as per the Hindu religion.

The Vedas consider the act of marriage as a very sacred reunion of two lives and not just a mere action. It is a lifelong commitment and one has to stand by it no matter what.
